Ring Cleaner - Tip

Getting my rings so fresh and so clean clean with my Thieves household cleaner. πŸ•ΊπŸ»

This is the same stuff that I use on high chairs, toilets, countertops, hardwood floors, sinks, showers.. and the best part (besides ZERO toxins) is that it's concentrated... Making each bottle around 50 cents or so. You can't beat that. πŸ™ŒπŸ½ Have I mentioned that it's now our ONLY bottle of cleaner?!

Are you intrigued like I was and wanting to try something out?! I have an order going through mid month. Have questions? Comment or email me and let's chat.

Laundry Day

It's Laundry Day in our household.

I was shocked when I downloaded the Think Dirty App and scanned our dryer sheets and detergent. ::Sigh:: Did you know that dryer sheets can be one of the most toxic things in your house?

I threw EVERYTHING out that same day and replaced them with wool balls. I just add whatever essential oil floats my boat at the time and stick them in the dryer. (They have even cut down on our drying time. πŸ’ƒπŸ» Woo!)

Do me a favor and scan your stuff on the Think Dirty app and see what you find. Know what is in your cabinets and soaking into your family's largest organ. (Skin) πŸ’€πŸ™…πŸ»

Back to School - Tip #11 Teacher Gifts!

Back to School - Tip #11
Teacher Gifts

Give it up for our amazing teachers! They've worked all summer long to get ready for our kiddos, and the sacrifice and patience they show them is AMAZING. We're thinking they deserve the best... and the best = Young Living.

Here are some “back to school” teacher gifts that could really come in handy!
πŸ‚Thieves Hand Purifier
Our amazing waterless hand purifier now comes in a larger size (7.6 ounces), just perfect for a classroom! This purifier is full of SAFE ingredients, and is ideal to help keep little hands clean.

πŸ‚Stress Away Roll-on
The name says it all. Teachers deal with a lot, so let’s give them something they can just roll on and enjoy the relaxing fragrance.

πŸ‚Thieves Spray
This handy dandy bottle can be used on anything from toilets to hands, to help protect from dust, mold, and undesirable microorganisms.

πŸ‚Thieves Household Cleaner
Classrooms are dirty. We all know that. But the chemicals that are used in common cleaning products can be even worse for our children. Thieves cleaner is a gentle, yet effective way to cleanse and disinfect surfaces.

πŸ‚Lavender bath/shower gelHelp our teachers relax their bodies and rejuvenate their minds with a soothing bath using nature's finest Lavender essential oil. All-natural ingredients work to refresh and condition their skin as they unwind from their busy day.

πŸ‚Lavender hand/body lotion
Another must have for our teachers. Applied during the day, this could be a quick way to calm their minds with Lavender.

πŸ‚Evening Peace bath/shower gel
This shower gel combines natural botanical ingredients with therapeutic-grade essential oils to relax tired muscles and help soothe away stress and tension at the end of the day.

πŸ‚Diffuser
A diffuser is the gift that keeps on giving. They can use it in their classrooms (if allowed), or when they get home from a long day at school.

Does it matter who you grab your starter kit from?

Do you ever have those days where you just need a little love and positivity?

I diffused all the right oils this morning and used my grounding roller blends, but just couldn't shake the "grumps." Then I got the sweetest card and 3 rollers from my sweet friend and leader. πŸ’™ You guys, I have never seen so many generous people in one space in my life.  So thankful for Young Living and the greatest oily fam. 😌

People often ask me "if it matters" who you grab your starter kit from and I tell them YES.  It absolutely matters.  You have to be sure you can trust the person that helps you grab your kit to walk this journey with you and TEACH you.  Thats one thing I can happily promise to people when they choose to grab a kit with me.  Not only are you grabbing everything you need to start with essential oils, but you're also joining a community.  We have member resource groups set up just to help you succeed.

Back to School - Tip #10 Food Ideas!

Back to School - Tip #10
Food Ideas | Energy Bites

Lets take a YL time-out to chat about one of our FAVORITE recipes for energy bites. They're no-bake which gives them an A+ in my book. They taste like a cookie! Don't tell the kiddos that they are full of protein and are naturally sweetened.

--Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Energy Bites--
Ingredients:
1 cup (dry) oatmeal (gluten free oats can be used)
2/3 cup toasted unsweetened coconut flakes
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1/3 cup honey or agave nectar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 or 4 drops of Thieves oil

Directions:
1. Stir all ingredients together until thoroughly mixed.
2. Cover + chill in the fridge for at least half an hour.
3. Once chilled, roll into balls of whatever size you would like.
4. Store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week. Makes about 20-25 bites.
*If the mix seems to dry, add in an extra tablespoon or two of honey or peanut butter. If the mix seems too wet (which may happen if you use natural peanut butter), add extra oatmeal.
ENJOY!

Back to School - Tip #9 Respiratory System!

Back to School - Tip #9

Respiratory System | Much Needed Support

Hearing "Back to school" immediately makes me think of all things fall.
Football, pumpkin spice, warm meals, sweaters, and of course cooler temps.

It is SO very important to support our respiratory systems while we sleep.  An easy way to do this is to put our essential oils in a diffuser.  We diffuse RC & Thieves in everyone's bedroom.  When we're breathing normally, we sleep better.  We ALL could use a great sleep around this time of year.

Breathe Again Roll-on and Raven are also great respiratory system support oils!
These 4 oils should be kept handy in your oily toolbox throughout the school year!

Back to School - Tip #6 Sweet Dreams!

Back to School - Tip #6

Sweet Dreams | Sleep Well!

Recent studies show that school aged children (1st-5th) should be getting 10-11 hours of sleep per night, while most are only getting around 8 hours!

Some tips:

SniffleEase

SniffleEase.. because walking around with tissues sticking out of our noses is unacceptable. πŸ€§πŸ˜‘

This little MVP was the very first Young Living oil we tried. I was sick and tired of taking our kids back and forth to the doctor. They were sneezing and coughing because of drainage and no one in our house was getting good sleep. Our doctor kept telling us that it was the "weather changes" and "everyone had it." I thought that meant

we were stuck in this cycle.. and we had to "deal with it." Then a friend I trusted asked if we used oils. Heck no we didn't and I was suuuuch a skeptic. (Insert eye roll here) But I was desperate.

Back to School - Tip #3 Homework Helpers!

Back to School!
Tip #3
Homework Helper! | Focus Blends

Focus is a common theme for back to school time. It can be a real struggle to get back into the routine of sitting in a classroom and listening to someone teach all day after an awesome summer of freedom!
Don't worry - there are SO many different combinations of oils you can try. One of our family favorite focus blends is a Valor, Vetiver, and Lavender recipe that my kiddos can just roll on whenever they need a little extra support with focus. It smells heavenly, and I can really tell a difference after they use this blend.
Another favorite is: Peppermint, Citrus Fresh, and Rosemary. We apply to the back of neck while studying or doing homework. This also makes a great diffuser combo during this time as well. <Older kids with tests coming up? Roll this combo on for support when you can't be there to help.>

πŸ“š       Homework Diffuser Recipe:πŸ“š
4 drops Citrus Fresh (may support concentration/ alertness.)
3 drops Peppermint (may support concentration/ alertness.)
2 drops Rosemary (may support memory function.)
This is perfect trio to get your focus on!
